Refrigeration Oils

Mobil Gargoyle™ Arctic Oil 155, 300, and Mobil Gargoyle™ Arctic C Heavy products are high performance naphthenic mineral oils primarily intended for use in refrigeration compressors. They have low pour points and excellent fluidity at very low temperatures by virtue of being almost wax-free. Consequently, use of these Mobil Gargoyle Arctic oils helps to ensure that evaporator tubes are kept clean to improve heat transfer and to reduce downtime for maintenance. They have good chemical stability and are suitable both for cylinder and bearing lubrication. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic Oil 155, 300, and Mobil Gargoyle Arctic C Heavy are compatible with most refrigerants except sulphur dioxide. They are not recommended for use with HFC refrigerants. The moisture content of Mobil Gargoyle Arctic Oil 155, 300, and Mobil Gargoyle Arctic C Heavy oils is very low when the oils are packaged. Every precaution should be taken to keep the oils dry to avoid the formation of ice in expansion valves, and to limit the risks of oil degradation, copper plating, etc.

Superior quality high performance refrigerator compressor oils

MAK Freezol range of oils are blended using highly refined, specially treated straight mineral naphthenic oils designed for very low temperature applications. They have low pour points and excellent fluidity at very low temperatures by virtue of being almost wax-free. Special additives minimise the system deposits and offer long service life. These oils have good chemical stability and rapid solubility in liquefied refrigerants. They ensure high condenser efficiency and reduced compressor valve maintenance due to less amount of deposit formation. 

Applications

MAK Freezol range is recommended for cylinder and bearing lubrication of a wide range of domestic and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning compressors. They can be used in both reciprocating and rotary compressors using either ammonia or conventional CFCs or HCFCs refrigerants. They are used in the lubrication of all types of refrigeration compressors operating at moderate evaporator temperatures (av. -30OC depending upon grades) and thermal loads. They can be used in open, hermetically sealed or semi-sealed industrial type Compressors. MAK Freezol can also be used for general lubrication of other machineries operating at sub-zero temperatures.
